We were invited to a two-day joint workshop with LLMC (Research and Development Center for Large Language Models), part of Japan's NII (National Institute of Informatics), held in Tokyo on August 27–28. We shared KISTI's work on AI for Science and AI-driven R&D administration, and both sides are exploring research collaboration.
We presented our latest technological advancements at KDD 2026, the premier global conference on data mining and artificial intelligence, held August 9–13 at ICC Jeju.
At this year's corporate exhibition, the KISTI Large-scale AI Research Center highlighted an end-to-end ecosystem designed to accelerate scientific discovery, automate research workflows, and streamline large language model operations.
Beyond standalone agents, we shared our progress in building an open-science platform for researchers and industry partners worldwide — including multimodal LLM (MLLM) architectures for complex document understanding, advanced parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT) techniques, and large-scale scientific dataset preprocessing pipelines.
